The Waiting Season Doesn't Mean Nothing Is Happening

Today was the first day in over a week that I intentionally sat back down to work on Must Seed.

I spent the afternoon researching manufacturers, revisiting suppliers I'd already spoken to, and narrowing down who I believe could produce our first samples. To be honest, I think I've finally found a supplier I'm really excited about.

The funny thing is, the delay has never been because I've lost passion for Must Seed.

If anything, I've become even more certain about where this brand is headed.

The delay has simply been a practical one.

With our wedding only weeks away, we have invoices that need to be paid, and right now I don't believe it's wise to spend money on product samples until we've honoured those commitments first. Stewardship matters just as much as ambition.

Could I order the samples tomorrow?

Probably.

Should I?

Not necessarily.

The suppliers I've spoken with have been wonderful, but once conversations begin, they naturally follow up regularly. They're simply doing their job, and I don't want to waste anyone's time by pretending I'm ready when I'm not.

So for now, I've done the research.

I've found potential partners.

And when the timing is right, I'll be ready to move.

People often ask when the first collection will launch.

The truth is, I have a goal in mind.

But I'm also holding it with open hands.

If everything lines up before the wedding, amazing.

If it happens afterwards, that's okay too.

One thing I've realised throughout building Must Seed is that I don't actually want to build excitement around clothing.

I want to build a community around faith.

The garments are simply one part of that journey.

That's why you'll continue seeing conversations about God, personal growth, and what He's teaching me long before you ever see products available to purchase.

When the first collection eventually launches, I'm not expecting perfection.

In fact, I don't think any great clothing brand releases a first collection that everybody instantly loves.

Businesses grow through listening.

They grow through refining.

They grow through feedback.

And that's something I genuinely look forward to.

I've always believed feedback is one of the greatest gifts someone can give you.

Opinions and feedback aren't always the same thing.

An opinion often tells you whether someone likes something.

Feedback helps you understand how something can become better.

I hope people feel comfortable sharing both the things they love and the things they'd change, because that's how Must Seed will continue to improve.

For now, I'm simply enjoying the process.

The suppliers are there.

The designs are becoming clearer.

The vision hasn't changed.

The timing just isn't mine to control.

So instead of stressing over deadlines I've created for myself, I'm choosing to trust that God already knows exactly when the first Must Seed piece will be released.

Until then, I'll keep showing up, keep learning, and keep planting seeds.
