Am I Leaving Enough Room for God?

AI is becoming such a normal part of our everyday lives.

And I’ll be the first to admit that I use it.

A lot.

Especially while building my first business, it has been an incredibly useful tool. There are things I didn’t know how to do, questions I needed answered and moments where having something there to help me work through an idea has saved me so much time.

And I’m not going to sit here and pretend I’m going to stop using it.

I’m not.

But lately, I’ve been questioning whether I’ve started using it for things I should be spending more time thinking about myself.

What should I post?

What content will bring the right people to Must Seed?

What should I talk about?

What should I do next?

And I don’t necessarily think there’s anything wrong with asking those questions or using the tools we have available to help us.

For me, the problem was realising how quickly I wanted an answer.

Instead of sitting with an idea, I’d search for one.

Instead of allowing myself to think, I’d look for suggestions.

And sometimes, instead of sitting in silence and asking God for guidance, I’d look for the quickest answer available to me.

That’s when something really started to challenge me.

I keep praying for patience.

I keep asking God to guide Must Seed.

I keep telling Him that I want this business to follow His will and not mine.

But am I actually giving Him room to do that?

How can I pray for patience while constantly looking for ways to get an answer faster?

How can I ask God for guidance if I don’t slow down long enough to seek Him?

I think sometimes we can pray for God to grow something within us without realising that the opportunities to practise it might not look the way we expect.

Maybe part of learning patience is not having the answer immediately.

Maybe part of seeking guidance is being willing to sit in silence for a while.

Maybe I don’t need to know what I’m posting next week.

Maybe I don’t need to have every part of Must Seed figured out yet.

And this isn’t really about AI.

Because AI is just a tool.

It’s about what I’m allowing to have my attention before I’ve given that attention to God.

I’ve also realised that I have more time available to me in this season of my life, and I want to be much more intentional with how I use it.

I want to wake up and reach for my Bible before I reach for an answer somewhere else.

I want to spend more time in prayer.

I want to attend Mass during the week when I can.

As a Catholic, one of the most beautiful gifts we have is the opportunity to attend Mass and receive Jesus in the Eucharist throughout the week.

And lately I’ve found myself thinking:

If I have the opportunity, why wouldn’t I?

Why wouldn’t I give God more of the time He’s given me?

I’m still going to use AI.

I’m still going to use tools that help me learn and build Must Seed.

But I don’t want convenience to replace discernment.

I don’t want instant answers to replace patience.

And I definitely don’t want to ask God to guide this business while filling every quiet moment with something else.

So maybe this season isn’t about finding answers faster.

Maybe it’s about becoming more comfortable with not having them yet.

And trusting that when I genuinely need to know what’s next, God doesn’t need an algorithm to show me.
